QLD: Brough confirmed he will challenge for QLD president
Former Howard government minister MAL BROUGH has confirmed he'll challenge for the
presidency of the Queensland Liberal party.
The Australian newspaper reports that Mr BROUGH .. who is on holidays in Scotland ..
has also called for Liberal party members to have the final say on a merger with the Nationals.
Federal Opposition Leader BRENDAN NELSON has previously said he hopes Mr BROUGH would
consider taking the job.
